Celebrating our Examinations results

At A-Level, we are celebrating a 99.4% pass rate (a significant improvement from last year) with 69.5% of our entries A*, A, B or C grades. All but one subject achieved a 100% pass rate. These high levels of performance reflect our focus on learning coupled with the personalised support that ensures our learners develop the key skills they need to succeed at A levels. All our students are now able to continue with the next phase of their learning – the vast majority at university.

Top performers include:-

  • Joe Brassington: 1 A* and 3 As – University of Chester to read Education Studies and Fine Art
  • Nick To: 2A*s and 2 Bs – University of Bath to read Civil Engineering
  • Claire Bond: 3 As – Birmingham City University to read Media and Communication Studies
  • Chloe Garnham: 1 A and 3 Bs – Leicester University to read History and Politics
  • Adnan Khan; 1 A and 2 Bs – University of Birmingham to read History
  • Jessica Harrison 1 A and 2 Bs – University of Sheffield to read Biology

We were also delighted with our second highest GCSE results ever. 64% gained a C or better in Mathematics and 61% in English. The A*-G pass rate was 99.3%. 50% of our students achieved 5 A*-C including English and Maths. These results are a testament to the grit and determination our whole school community has demonstrated to ensure that all students achieved their best. It also reflects our consistent focus on our mantra ‘Everyone a Learner Everyone Learning’.

Some stunning results were achieved by individual students:

  • Hannah Timson: 4A*s and 6 As
  • Niamh Carpenter 3A*s and 6As
  • Charlotte Catlin 2A*s and 6 As
  • Shannon Spiby-Wood 1A* and 6As
  • Jennifer Kelsey 1A* and 5As
  • William Raybould 1A* and 3As
  • Katie Murray 7As
  • Bethany Taylor 6As
