Pyxis constellation lies in the southern sky. It represents a mariner’s compass. It was one of the constellations created by the French astronomer Nicolas Louis de Lacaille in the 18th century.
Orion constellation lies in the northern sky, on the celestial equator. It is one of the brightest and best known constellations in the night sky. Orion is also known as the Hunter.
Hercules constellation is located in the southern sky. It was named after Hercules, the Roman version of the Greek hero Heracles. Hercules is the fifth largest constellation in the sky.
Columba constellation is located in the southern sky. Its name means ‘the dove’ in Latin. The constellation was introduced by the Dutch astronomer Petrus Plancius in the late 16th century
